A Place to Breathe World Premiere at SF DocFest

September 3, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - September 20, 2020 @ 10:00 pm
We are thrilled to announce that the World Premiere of A PLACE TO BREATHE will be at San Francisco DocFest from Sept 3rd to 20th, 2020. The festival has moved online due to the pandemic, so viewers everywhere will be able to watch the film at their convenience during that time period. On Thursday Sept 17th at 8:00 PM Pacific Time, the festival’s Associate Director of Programming, Chris Metzler will be moderating a live online Q&A with Director/Producer Michelle Grace Steinberg and Producer Robyn Bykofsky and two people featured in the film — Norma Calmo and Yania Escobar. After more than four years working on our new documentary film on immigrant and refugee experiences in the health care system and community healing from trauma, we can’t wait for you to see it! Our heartfelt thanks and tremendous respect to everyone in Oakland and Massachusetts who shared their stories and to all those who worked on the project! Our gratitude to Street Level Health Project and Lowell Community Health Center! Thank you to SF DocFest/San Francisco IndieFest for premiering our film!
