Jess Strange has lived in Oakland since 2005. She has a BA in Spanish & International Studies from Miami University and an MPH in Community Health Sciences from UCLA. Jess has worked in public health since 2005 in a wide variety of roles, including; Clinical Health Educator, Quality Improvement Specialist, and Project and Program Manager. She is currently a Senior Manager leading large scale improvement projects.

Jess joined the SLHP board because she was inspired by the organization’s mission. She first volunteered with SLHP in 2008 and has always admired the work the organization has done to help welcome newly arrived immigrants and to serve as an entry point to a complex health system for the uninsured and underinsured.
