Luri Chen was born and raised in Panama and moved to San Francisco in 2010. She first heard about the work that Street Level does with the community back in 2015 when she was an undergraduate at UC Berkeley. She quickly became involved and have since volunteered with the clinic for over two years in making sure patients have the resources and health access they need. Luri knows firsthand the challenges of obtaining quality health care as an immigrant and have thus motivated her to pursue a career in the health field. She is very excited and happy to be back at Street Level as the Health Access Program Coordinator and to continue serving the immigrant community. During her free time Luri enjoys road trips to national parks, exploring new hiking trails, and baking sweets for her friends and family.
